Women on the Homefront

During the Second World War there were no idle hands. At every level of society there people participated in the war effort. While women did not on the same scale as men in the military, they did participate heavily on the Home Front.

From salvaging scrap metal to working in wartime industries, women participated in many different roles throughout the war.
